  • Wall-mounted: Turn a column or wall into a nimble lift point with no floor footprint and minimal overhead clearance required. 


I‑Beam vs. Enclosed Track: Choosing the Right Boom Style


A boom's construction affects what you can lift and how easily you can operate your jib crane. Here’s how the two boom styles differ and why it matters:

  • I‑beam boom: This steel, I-shaped beam with a trolley running on the bottom flange is best when capacity and rugged duty come first.
  • Enclosed track boom: Enclosed track beams are made from formed steel or aluminum track with the trolley running inside a protected, smooth surface. The lighter arm and lower push and pull forces enable faster and easier rotation.
