Bohl Crane offers two focused training programs designed around OSHA requirements, safe operation, inspections, and hands-on operator evaluation.
Overhead Crane Safety
Class Time: 3-4 hours
Training includes:
- General Industry OSHA 29 CFR 1910.179 – Overhead & Gantry Cranes
- Applicable MIOSHA standards and industry best practices
- Crane inspections, safe operation, and operator evaluations
- Introduction to rigging hazards and supporting documents
- Sling-angle math and sling-rating
Forklift (P.I.T.) Safety Training
Classes 1–5 | Class Time: 2–3 Hours
Training includes:
- OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 – Powered Industrial Trucks
- General standards and industry best practices
- P.I.T. inspections and safe operating practices
- Operator evaluations
- Burden carrier training available as an add-on
Train the Trainer Option
Includes 3 years of access to the training content. Materials can be modified to fit your company's needs.
What to Expect on Training Day
You Provide the Training Space
- A large-screen TV or a large, light-colored wall
- Room for trainees to complete the written test
- Bohl supplies the projector
Bohl Handles the Training Materials
- Training documents
- Certification letter
- Licenses issued after successful completion
- Complete training documentation for your records
About Full Rigger Training
Bohl Crane does not currently offer full rigger training. Programs may require up to 50 contact hours. Training is available through American Crane & Safety, ATS Specialized Training, and Safety Council of Northwest Ohio.
